The M.C.Y. 46 is the culmination of 25 years experience by Brent Martz, of both sailing and building cruising yachts, combined with the design and compilation skills of Collin Clifford of Compu - Craft. This combination of skills has led to the production of a boat of superior quality and design.

The basic design concept of the M.C.Y. 46 is that of a fast easy - to - handle cruising yacht, capable of excellent light weather performance, without the sacrifice of structural integrity or creature comfort.

The swing keel configuration allows access to shallower waters for protected anchorages, whilst the board lowered assures optimum windward performance in a seaway.

The centre cockpit assures owner privacy in a spacious aft cabin and the large interior lends itself to a vast array of interior options.

The sail plan is basically a cutter design that is generally accepted as the best rig for short-handed sailing. Both staysail and genoa are equipped with furling gear and the main is fully battened with Profurl furling boom. All furling lines and main halyard are led to a power winch in the cockpit. The rigging is standard double spreader rig with aft swept spreaders thus eliminating running back stays.
